Hi All,
Does someone maybe have a suggestion how I could best make the golf bag in this picture?

http://www.google.ca/m/search?site=images&source=mog&hl=en&gl=ca&client=safari&q=golf%20cake#i=4

It's the thin handle part of the clubs that I am lost about.
Maybe toothpicks or wire? Put I can't see getting them as thin when covered with fondant.

Any helpful tips? TIA[/center]

Gumpaste rolls way thinner than fondant and dries much faster.

When I click the link it brings up several golf cakes so I'm not sure which one you're referring to. But if you're looking for something like toothpicks or wire, how about spagetti (sp?) noodles? You can color them with an edible marker if you need to.

I am sorry. This is the cake I am talking about

And thank you for your suggestions. I will see if I can paint spaghetti in a metallic silver. Otherwise I will try gumpaste for sure.

That is the cake I guessed You were talking about.

I have also dipped spaghetti in icing to coat it. A little hard to work with initially though.

The dipping in icing sounds like a great idea. I would think royal icing as it dries hard quickest. I have no experience painting royal icing though.
As long as I don't use too much alcohol with the luster dust it shouldn't dissolve, or would it is?
