Hi!
I have an order for a 1000 wedding cake shaped cookies. They want me to write the bride and groom's name on them or at least have their initials on the cookies. I found these cookie pictures online and want to do something similar. Is it possible to find a stencil for the elaborate cursive writing? Does anyone have any ideas on how to do the writing otherwise? I want to pipe them by hand but a 1000 cookies??
Also, any tips and ideas on how to prepare, ice and store the cookies in advance?

These cookies look like they might actually have an edible image applied to them. The initials and wording are printed on frosting sheets and then applied to the royal icing or fondant on the cookies. Hope this helps.
Hi! Maybe you could try buying letter stamps, using food-safe colorant as ink imprint the letter on the cookie, just make sure the colorant only gets on the parts of the stamp you need... Might work, I've done it before on fondant cakes using Wilton's letter press set. They will look even and beautiful, plus it's a cheap way to get them done, I don't recomend piping 'cause you won't be able to move your hand in a while...
You can bake the cookies several days in advance, and store them in plastic boxes, they must be completely sealed, then one or two days before you can ice and decorate them. If you decorate them with fondant it will be easier to store and carry them. Hope this helps!!!
It does look like edible image. I have printed a page of names or whatever and cut them out and put on cookies like that.
What a great order..Good luck!
I also think those letters are edible image but as Alycee said you can tru using stamps too. Good luck with the order.
www.designerstencils.com
does a great job on custom stencils.
They also have sets made just for doing monograms.
I did a monogram cookie using of their stencils for the Cake Central Magazine Wedding Issue last year.

I would love to be able to use stencils, but I only use glace...can it be done with glace???
You can use stencils with royal icing, which I believe is very similar to glace, here is Wilton's recipe

Maybe if your glace recipe is similar to this one, you might use it with the stencils!!!
I think this company has a special printing machine that prints onto the cookies. Of course the cheaper way is to use edible images and you'd get the same effect.
