Also, I've been thinking about doing a targeted postcard mailing. Has anyone done that and had any success?

How do you all do most of your advertising? I'm not sure where or how to get in with businesses, etc and where I might be welcome to drop off some brochures or things like that.

I just went to your page and when I opened it up, my brain read "Creations by USA" on your banner at the top. I think the font and your name in combination don't make "Lisa" the first thing I picked up on.

This is my opinion only, and please do not take my opinion to heart. I would get rid of the "bubble background" - very hard to read your text. Next, I wouldnt associate or compare anything to Cake Boss or Charm City. On the about page I would speak as myself instead of speaking in the third or second person - make this a personal page with you speaking directly to your clients.

This is only my 2 cents worth. No offense at all.

The text is difficult to read with your background.

Also, the menu font needs to be fixed so the words fix in it. Personally With the pattern behind the words, its hard to read.

Do you really need all those different pages to describe "wedding cakes" Birthday" "Celebration" and "Other" Its not really giving you any info.....

The how to is not really needed as a main link. Maybe have it as a hidden link, at the bottom of another page.

Your Pricing page is WAYYY too long. I don't think you need to mention Ace of cakes or cake boss right on the page. Just keep that in your back pocket if someone says something.

You don't need a full menu link just for facebook. Why not put the link on your contact page?





To be honest, If i was a customer I would not have read through the whole page because of the background and the fact that is is just too long.

I would also take out the picture of you icing cupcakes at the wedding. Dont know the situation, but i would not want people to think that i was runnung late and just did it there, if you know what I mean.

I also saw Cakes by USA.

I'm not sure if it is my headache or not, but the back ground is bright and as other says is hard to read the font over it.

I'm the queen of long winded, but I'd trim down to the bare bones. People want the information as quick as possible.

Also look into the copyright laws. Personally I'd remove any cake that was a copy right infrindgement. Even if you made that cake for free, I wouldn't put it on the website.

I think the bubbles behind the text makes it hard to read, I might go with an orange sherbet kind of color, lighter so it won't distract from the pictures. I wouldn't send out postcards, I would try to link to other vendors on the internet and facebook. It's all about being connected.

Looks like your pictures are taken in your home kitchen. In the Commonwealth of Kentucky you have to have a separate commercial kitchen to be in business.
