We are planning on having a pineapple wedding cake and I am looking for some ideas for fillings. I would like to have cherry or possibly cherry & pineapple filling. Any Ideas?

Would cherry pie filling work??? mixed with something else such as pudding or something else???

We just really liked how the pineapple cake tasted and were looking for something different.

My favorite flavor with pineapple cake would be a coconut cream, coconut creamcheese cream.I would do a pineapple filling layer and a coconut cream layer. I like the way it tastes like a pina colada. Never tried it with cherry, so not sure about that. Best way to find out is make a sample cake. Might be wonderful.

I second the coconut! Maybe in custard form? Yum!

I have been doing some practice cakes, that is how why finally decided on pineapple... too many more practices and I might not fit into my wedding dress!!!

All of the above, but how about one layer of coconut cream or coconut cream cheese filling and a layer of pineapple with some chopped maraschino cherries mixed in.
