Need A Great Crusting Buttercream Please?

I would love to have some ideas/recipes for a really great crusting buttercream. I am having a lot of trouble getting mine to crust. I have used the Wilton's class buttercream recipe and Wilton's Snow White buttercream recipe. However, when I have to add just a little water 1/2 teas or so to thin it up to ice the cake, it will not crust up well at all. Then it looks like it's sliding off or melting and it is not hot in my house. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but don't know what it is. If I don't thin it, it's so thick, it tears up my cake trying to spread it on. Help please???
This is the only bc I use-Indydebi's recipe. I love it. It crusts well and has a great spreading consistency.

I agree with poohsmama. Indydebi's buttercream is awesome and it is easy to make and work with.
I like SugarShack (Sharon Z's) but it uses hi-ratio shortening. I was not as happy with it using store bought shortening. I tried IndyDebi's and it was really good but I find Sharon's to be more forgiving if I need to repair later...it just never crusts sold but smooths really well which I like. Both are worth experimenting with and finding your fav.
