I want to buy a turntable and I can't decide which one to buy. I have heard this is one of the best turntables. I have read that it is even better than Ateco turntable. How about the cake wheel anyone has experience with cakewheel?

Don't know about the cake wheel but I LOVE my Fat Daddio turn table.

Always hesitated on the cost of the Ateco turntable, so I posted the same question a while back about the Fat Daddio. One of the replies said to try the Wilton one. Since, I get the Michael's coupons in my email all the time, I used one to get % off.

Surprisingly, I'm very happy with it (as opposed to several W items I've purchased). As a hobby baker, it was nice to not spend a ton of $ and still get a good turntable. Nice and heavy, and I put it back in the box on my baking shelves till I need it again.

I also have the Wilton Turntable and love it. I also bought it at Michaels and of course used my coupon. For the price it's great!

I also have th e wilton turn table and find it to be very wobbly. Doesn't move near as smoothly as the Fat Daddio.

I have a Fat Daddio, and I wish I got the Ateco, it's really heavy to turn, which seemed like a great idea at the time but it is hard to get it to turn smoothly (I've even oiled the ball bearings). It also seems to have a resting spot, so if I'm doing detail work it will start to spin on it's own and rest in that one spot. Very annoying. So my advice is if you are going to spend the money spend the few dollars more and get the good one.

Mine doesn't wobble at all and spins very smoothly.

I've been using the Wilton heavy duty turntable (Michael's 50% off coupon...) and I loved it - at first.

After using it very frequently for about 1 year, it developed a wobble that became worse & worse. Now, I hate using it because it even tilts on its own at rest.

Argh! I blame its failure on the "peg in a hole" design.

Therefore, I'm looking for a ball-bearing model that holds up to regular decorating. (Likely Fat Daddio's based on recommendations here...)

Cheers,
