So searching around and it seems like there is NO such thing as a cake carrier than 6 inches (standard wilton you can get anywhere) even places that sell throw away cake boxes make short ones. I did find a cupcake carrier that was 12 inches tall, but it is in a rectangle shape, no rounds.
I cant be the only one who wants a taller reused able cake carrier.. there has to be a market for this... why is no one filling this!!!
I wish I had a plastics factory I would totally be making these!
maybe a bigger sized tupperware or a rubbermaid container/stackbin?
i was thinking of this myself.
Tupperware nor Rubbermaid makes on any higher. Seems to be the standard, but you're right....it'd be nice if we could purchase taller ones.
Here are some carriers that hold at least 24 cupcakes.
This one looks like a giant cupcake.

I find the cupcake courier is good for small round two-tier cakes (provided the decorations on top are not tall), BUT personally I find I can't put any more than one layer of 12 cupcakes in it - it claims to hold 36, but will only do this if they are very SHORT/LOW cupcakes. I really wish they made it with more head-room between layers!
I might have to get a cupcake carrier one day, I dont do many cupcakes and when I do they are just for the baby's daycare so I can just bring them on a sheet pan, but maybe if I have a carrier I would do more cupcake.
My care carries can hold a two tired cake, but ONLY if the decorations on the top are flat, here is a pic of a cake that is not too tall but was a lil smooched from the carrier

you can see a couple of the white flowers got flattened, if I could have just a few more inches that would be nice and if I could get another 6 that would be great

I totally agree! I find myself having to ice a cupcake then test it before finishing up the rest if I want to use the courier...
this cupcake carrier from Bed Bath & Beyond works well for tall cupcakes

I was able to fit 24 of my tractor cupcakes (two piped buttercreams and a chocolate tractor on top)
Trying to get the folks at Quirky to make a cupcake carrier that will carry 36, 72, 108 cupcakes. Take your 12cupcake pan out and imagine three of them side by side when you look at my drawing. I'm not good at drawing..Please vote, comment and make suggestions so that this will work.
