hi guys just a few general questions. i have always wondered is it easy to paint on your cakes, for example what type of food colouring would you use, and how long would it take to dry etc, i can paint on paper but have never tried anything like it on my cakes,
any help or advice would be appriciated
TIA cheryl xx
Hi, if you can paint, then you will be able to paint on cakes, just use sugarflair gel/paste colours. You can dilute them with alcohol like vodka or buy rejuvenator from cake shops.
Hope this helps, good luck

Hi Cheryl, I painted a tiger for my niece's birthday cake (in my photos), it was a first time painting onto a sugar/flower paste plaque, which I then glued onto the cake with icing, I used gels and dusts to paint the tiger. So give it a try you'll be surprised at what you can do
when ive painted on cakes.. and ive never done anything major.. coz im the worlds worst drawer! lol i have just used the liquid food colouring from the supermarket., its works fine for the small scale i do. might be good to just practice with? the "art work" in my cow art cake was painted doing that.
