Hi,
My dh is finally buying me my first kitchenaid mixer! I am thinking of buying the prof 600. I saw some at ebay for around 300? Where do you think I can get the best deal! thanks! I am excited to make my v-day cookies! thanks ladies!

I got a refurbished one from the Kitchenaid website. It was about half price what it normally would have been and it works great.
hi ladies! thanks for the replies!
I saw one at amazon, it comes down to $280.00 with rebate. Is this a good deal?
thanks again!
I would consider the Cuisinart (1000 watts) It is a fantastic machine and I am thrilled with it. It is a better price than KA. I had a KA that died and I was set on buying another, then started researching and was impressed with the reviews on this one. It has a 7 qt bowl and a timer. I got it for a great price -you get more for your $, or so I felt...There is a big debate as to whether the KA is a still considered a superior product because they may no longer use a metal gear box. I couldn't find an answer in the end but was already sold on this:

Keep in mind, it goes on sale regularly and I got mine for $100 less than above and this is in Canada where it's more expensive than the US.
I make a lot of fondant in my mixer, so this was the one for me (being that it had the best reviews for bread making)

Congrats and enjoy! It is also an awesome machine...
I agree with cakes rock, for those of you who are still thinking about it. I have had many problems with my kitchenaid, there customer service leaves much to be desired, and only 1 year warrenty. I researched it online, and my problems were nothing compared with what others were experiencing. Next time I will surely go with cuisinart
Someone just posted this website on another thread - THANK YOU!! You'll have to check it out before you buy - free coupons, some for 40-50% off at certain stores, but I found this one for Kohl's - 15% off a $100 purchase. Happy shopping!! http://dealspl.us/kohls-coupons
