with how to make a high heel shoe. This weekend will be my first attempt at making one, I have been watching utube and think I have the construction side sussed out but just wanted to check that a mix of fondant with tylose would be strong enough as that is all I have access to. I live in a very small town and have to get all my supplies over the internet. As it is for a paying customer I don't want to have a nervous breakdown when it breaks on me. Want to get it made now to give it time to harden for when the cake is required in two weeks time. Your advice would be much appreciated thumbs_up.gif

Tylose and fondant will work just fine, but I always make extras, just in case!!! thumbs_up.gif

Tylose should work fine but I would make 2 shoes just in case one breaks.

I would make 2 as well, BUT make sure to store them somewhere safe. I even recommend storing them seperate. Last year I made 2 glass slippers for a Cinderella cake, and left them both on my counter top placed on some parchment. My 18 month old reached the counter and pulled the paper, and BOTH crashed and burned. Worst day ever. My 3rd slipper only had half a day to dry, and it was not as amazing as I felt it could have been. Lesson learned.

Is Tylose the same thing that Wilton sells as Gum Tex?

TIA
