I am looking for a piece of equipment that will cut uniform pieces of candy, fudge or sheet cakes using a frame with food safe wires that would resemble graph paper with the horizontal and vertical wires. You would be able to place the form on top of what you want to cut and press down and all your pieces would be uniform in size and shape. I am attaching a photo of an ice cube cutter to give you an idea of what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance for all your help icon_smile.gif

you might try buying there stainless steel replacement wire for confectionery guitar cutter for $6.95 and making your own frame and string it kinda like you would a guitar. I think I have a new project I want to try icon_wink.gif

That's exactly what I plan to do icon_lol.gif There is no way I can afford any of the ones I have looked at tonight online. Making my own, will be the answer and my new project for the new year. I really don't need it until after next Thanksgiving when I start making fudge again.

Thanks for all the comments and help!
Pam

There was a thread on egullet.org about making a guitar. It was in the pastry section of the forum.
