So I live in washington state-skagit county and I'm clueless to where i should buy my supplies. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have found some great websites but shipping is outrageous. The only places around me that sell supplies are Michaels and Joann. Any insight would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!!!!
Well I'm not familiar with your area, but surely there are cake decorating stores listed in the phone book. There are tons of them online -- GlobalSugarArt, CountrykitchenSA, BakeDeco, etc. What exactly are you looking for?
I would try countrykitchensa.com first, they have the best selection and the best prices on that stuff. Good luck!
I second that. I love Country Kitchens. You can also buy Autumn Carpenters candy making book there (she is one of the owners). The shipping will get you, especially on chocolate, but you don't want to use Wilton. You can also look for a food supplier locally for the chocolate, then buy the other supplies from Country Kitchens.
I just moved from WA - Snohomish. Here are 2 stores in the Seattle area. A bit of a drive for you but stil "local"!
Home Cake Decorating Supplies (Best Place)
9514 Roosevelt Way NE
Maple Leaf
Seattle, WA 98115
A smaller selection inside the
Party For Less
10015 NE 137th St
Kirkland, WA 98034
Enjoy! I miss these stores as there are none where we moved.
