For those of you who use and print edible images I have a question about the page sizes and the actual print area.
I need to have some printed and was told the sheets were 8x11, but then I noticed the box said 7.5 x 10". I know it has to allow for printing and peeling off space, so I'm curious if that is the standard size. What sizes to you work with and what's the actual prnting size? I need to re-do my image file to adjust the size.
I want to print several vintage stickers for a luggage cake and will have to cut each one out so will this be a problem too? I have never worked with e.i. before.
Thank you!!!
Post this in the icingimages forum or pm Debbie at icingimages (you can also call her). I'm sure she can help you.
My sheets are 7.5 x10 also. I use Microsoft Powerpoint to arrange my images as that is the default size. I never have to worry about my images running off the paper.
My sheets are 7.5" as well. I use MS Word to arrange my images.
It's no problem at all to cut out each individual sticker. My suggestion would be to roughly cut 2 or 3 stickers from the sheet, place the remaining sheet in a sealed plastic bag, then work on cutting out just 2 or 3 at a time. If you leave the entire sheet out in the open while you're cutting, by the time you get to the last few, they'll be dried up and brittle.
I prefer to use an Xacto knife to cut out my images. Some people like to use scissors.
THe Icing Images Premium brand has a printable area of 8.5x10.75" All others are the 7.5x10. You can cut them with an exacto or with scissors.
