Can anyone tell me how many servings you can get out of a giant cup cake. Someones daughter has the idea she wants a giant cup cake for her 21st. But I know she has quite a number friends. Please help many thanks and greeting from the UK
It depends if you separate the top from the bottom or if you serve them together. If you serve them together, you will get around 10 depending how big you cut your slices. If you separate the top and bottom you can get around 15-20, again depends how large your slices are.
I have found that these slices are very tall and should be very thinly sliced for people, or you end up with a lot left behind. There is just a ton of cake even though it doesn't seem that way. I end up using almost two entire cake mixes between the two sides and cut some off to level, but I have been able to easily get 16-18 servings out of the cupcake cake.
i made one for my daughters birthday party, and we easily got 18 out of it, and that was pretty big slices. we separtated the top and bottom, cut up the top and then cut up the bottom. makes a lot more than the wilton servings say!!!
