Hey guys! I haven't posted in a very long time but I was too excited not to share this. Only my fellow cakers would understand why this is so exciting!

Last week I posted this Angry Birds cake that I had made for my 8yo son's birthday:

I got the least amount of views, comments, and favorites of any cake I have ever posted, and I thought this was my best work yet. Anyway, no big deal. But this week the makers of the Angry Birds iphone game tweeted a picture of the cake to their followers, and it has exploded from there. It has shown up on all kinds of iphone blogs, popular tech sites, etc. I google "Angry Birds birthday cake" and the whole front page is full of links to my cake!

I'm just a home baker who does this as a hobby for fun so stuff like this doesn't just happen to me every day. I just wanted to share with people who could appreciate my little 15 minutes of internet fame! Thanks for reading!

I saw it earlier in the week in the CC galleries, then again on a totally different website. I can't even remember where and what I saw it on but I said "hey I've seen that cake".

I think sometimes when people do not understand a cake (on CC), they don't save it...I've had a few cakes I felt were very good, but since it didn't really strike a chord with people who did not understand the theme behind it...it didn't get viewed or saved too much.
