I'm so excited! I'm on my way to SweetWise in Nashville and I'm so excited! I'll be going sometime this week and I was wondering what anyone would suggest getting there. Of course I'm getting The Mat, but is there anything else specific to SweetWise that I should get? Thanks everyone!

I go to Nashville a couple times a month but have never been to Sweetwise. What all so they have? I was very surprised that a city that size didn't have a lot of cake supply shops. Are there more in and around Nashville? I live near Huntsville AL. and I buy my supplies at Lynelles, she has tons of stuff and people come from over 100 miles in every direction to buy from her. If Sweetwise has more to choose from I will lose my mind and my budget.

OOOh, I got the Mat, I got icing fruits (you stir into your icing to add flavor) I got vanilla bean paste, the baby mold (that no one else had) some stencils - I also got Tylose Powder and extra cupcake filling tips (can't find those anywhere in Atlanta for some reason). I also got the pump brush for luster dust. All super fun stuff!

I have been to Lynelle's in Huntsville and I believe it is bigger. Sweetwise had lots of pans, candy molds, boards but not as many cupcake picks and things like that. I also visited another one while in Nashville and I believe the name was Sugardrop. It had more of the cupcake picks but smaller store. I would go back to both of them. I do this just as a hobby so still a lot of things I want to experiment with. icon_biggrin.gif

I called Sweetwise once looking for flavoring, I use Magic Line's Butter Vanilla and I get it by the gallon. They didn't carry anything that large and didn't know it came that large. I just thought since Nashville is larger than Huntville they would have stores that had everything. Found the same problem in Birmingham too.

Lucky you. I have been watching her videos and would love to take a trip to see the store, and take a few classes. I have been thinking about ordering the mat, what is your thoughts on the mat? I am a newbie and think this is a must have.
