I've made 50 red hearts from candy wafer melt things and as I'm applying them to my cupcakes as toppers, I'm noticing they are kind of dull or smudged. Is there any trick to get the shine back on to them or to at least clear the surface?

I do not own any cotton gloves.

I take a cotton ball and clean out the cavities between batches. Keeps the candy shiny. Maybe it will help
