Does anyone have a tutorial on making the hockey jersey cake with the long sleeves out of fondant? I have an order for one that they want in buttercream but I can make all the accents, including the sleeves out of fondant. I have searched but unfortunately do to problems with CC I can not view more than one page.
So if anyone has a link it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
There is a member here who posted a blue and white leather jacket the other day..The coat was magnificant!! You could do your jersey the same way....Search for leather coat and see if you find it..It was a most saved for a few days.
i don't know of a tutorial, but I did a Flyers jersey a couple years ago. just a 9 x 13 cake with fondant. the sleeves were just fondant hanging on the board. see in my pictures. i was pretty inexperienced and it came out ok. i put the kid's name and age on it
you can add a cardboard tube (paper towel roll) under the sleeves also for the draping effect
Hey there!
I've made a couple hockey jerseys (In pictures)
I used a 13x9 cake pan - covered it in fondant... but for the sleeves it was just eye measurements - and attached to the sides of cake - very easy!

I have made a jersey cake too and I used a wilton t-shirt pan, cut the shirt a little short and attached that part of the cake to make the sleeves as long as the shirt. It turned out well. Depends on what size of cake you are needing to make if it would work or not for you.
