Does anyone out there have any ideas for displaying cake pops?

I'm trying to come up with a good idea too. All I have found so far were made from circles that have been cut in half. Stand on the straight edge and then holes drilled around the outer edge.

Besides those, styrofoam blocks covered with paper/ribbons?

The foam that florists use to stand flowers, inside a pot.

I even heard before something about a cabbage inside a pot? But I am not sure it was for pops... maybe it was for those cupcake bouquets...

Thanks for the link imaginethanmj. They are really neat. Right now, I just use a styrofoam sheet with holes that I poked with a lollipop stick and it works great for decorating but it is not pretty. I would like to find a cute way to display them at a party. My friend and I just made one for her wedding last month and it was very nice (I will try to upload photo tomorrow) almost too nice! We used a small rectangle crate, painted it, added feet, added satin, lace and bows, filled it with styrofoam and white beans, then stuck the pops in. I was hoping someone out there had an easier, more casual display idea.

I've seen them do wooden cake pop stands....kind of like this

http://www.flickr.com/photos/cjmartin/4961679273/

Kind of neat idea..i've also seen where they stack different size piece of wood..think of a tiered cake or cupcake stand so each piece gets smaller..then they paint the wood to coordinate..i can't seem to find the pic for that one..sorry

If the styrofoam doesn't look that pretty, cover it with a pretty paper.

You could actually do something like this using round styrofoam and putting pretty paper around:

http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/lace-cupcake-towers

She's using that for cupcakes, but you could certainly poke the holes for pops. This could even look prettier than the acrylic one you can buy because you can decorate according to your theme.

You won't get to see the styrofoam at all.

I have found it to be cute to cover the green foam with paper shreds. This cost a dollar at Walmart.

I use it in flower pots, sand pails etc.

I just came across this yesterday...

I've been thinking of getting a cupcake stand to let people rent - there's an attachment for pops.

Hi

First time posting on here so hi!

I use floristry oasis in any sort of container - mini plant pot, mini buckets, jars, cups etc, cover with shredded or scrunched tissue paper. I also have a stand that my husband made, which is essentially holes drilled into wood.

Another option is to use polystrene blocks (cake dummies) cover in wrapping paper, foil, etc anything to make it look pretty.

I am doing a Breast Cancer Awareness theme and trying to come up with ideas for a cake pop display.

I have some pink martini glasses that I am considering placing round styrofoam in with shredded pink paper covering the top and poking the pops down...what do you think? Do you think it will hold the pops securely?

I made one recently. Look in my gallery. I can change the paper ( covered in clear contact paper to save it from grease ) to match whatever theme, color,etc... I need. I will be re-covering it for Thanksgiving with rust colored paper, beautiful fall leaf stickers and gold lettering (stickers). It holds 41 cakepops. I know it is a wierd amount but I used pre cut styrofoam circles and that is how it worked out! It is very sturdy and was quite easy to put together. I use a dowel through the center to keep them all together but I can also pull them apart to change the paper. The one thing I'm going to change next time is...the very center cakepop on the very top needs a longer stick to make it taller.

I've been searching online for a few days now to find some unfinished wood boxes/tray like things that could be assembled into one of those beautiful display stands. I plan on painting it white, but just haven't seen anything that would be suitable yet.
I've looked in AC Moore, Michaels, Hobby Lobby (online), but have had no success. I just can't afford to pay around $250 for one yet, but need a large display for an upcoming wedding.
Anybody have ideas where I could look (online or stores) to find such pieces?

Thanks

Hey There, my wife and I make reusable and adjustable cake pop stands. They are available for purchase at http://www.thesmartbaker.com/categories/Cake-Pop-Stands. Right now they are $30.95 for our 3 tier round or 3 tier square. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Daniel

Maybe someone else has already suggested this, but when I made cake pops, I filled a large glass bowl with sugar to make a stand. Afterwards I just poured the sugar back into the bag. :)
