Nfsc - How Long Can Keep In Fridge?

How long is it safe to keep a ball of NFSC in the fridge before you should toss it? How about the freezer? Also, does anyone know how long Antonia's cookie Icing will last in containers? 2-3 months?
NFSC I have kept in the freezer for 3+months. As for the RI it does keep a long time but you have to put it back in your mixter before you use it.
Hi all, I am a bit fussy when it comes to this type of thing, and a scaredy cat on this as well. Food Safety and all that.
I have been told and read over and over again that RI lasts a week easy and that you just have to remix before you use it. But for me, if its 3 to 4 days, then I feel uncomfortable and wash my money down the sink !
For the dough, I feel upt to 1 week in fridge is ok, and up to 3months in freezer. which I wish I had done, I just had to throw 4 batches inthe bin ! That will teach me, wont it ! but it was a trip to hospital that threw me out of whack...
Look forward to hearing from others too.
I have not frozen NFSC dough before, and I wonder...how do you thaw it? Just allow it to sit in the fridge for 24hrs or out at room temp for a short while? Is it ready to use or do you need to do anything additional to it?
I'm a bit food safety crazy, so my answer might be extreme...
I wouldn't keep the dough int he fridge for more than 1-2 day, and in the freezer no more than a month.
As for the icing, I think it's fine on the counter, in air tight containers for 3-5 days, but wouldn't use it after that. I haven't ever frozen it, but I know other people do.
