Do you have to do anything other then chop them up before adding to the cake batter? I just bought a Chocolate Mint plant and it smells just like it and i want to add it to a chocolate cake. Sounds great, just dont know how to go about baking with it.

I add chopped mint to my mojito cupcakes, no problem. once in a while the mint looks black (because it bruises apparently....I don't know what to do about that), but if youre adding it to chocolate cake there should be no issues.

The other thing I've done is steep the mint in the liquid of your cake, then discard the mint once it's cool....
