I would like to know if anyone has made a windshield for a car and/or truck out of isolmalt and if so, would you mind sharing tips and any trouble shooting problems/fixes w/ me? Just thought I would ask before I jump in. TIA

I've never actually made a windshield but have made many things like it. They way I prefer to do it is to make a mold thats flat. Pour the Isomalt in the mold and before it sets up set it on a curved surface like a cake pan that matched the curve you need. Thisis the best way to get clean edges and a real nice glass IMO.

I saw them making a windshield on Amazing Wedding cakes show for a car cake. They didn't have much luck. They tried it several times, they ended up using a gelatine sheet. Good luck !
