Question About Butter

I was just wondering...when you see a recipe that calls for "butter" are you inclined to use salted or non-salted?

I always use non salted unless the recipe is specific and ive never had any problems but was curious if the salted butter makes any difference aside from the taste.

i use mostly salted because it is what i can readily get my hands on for a reasonable amount of money. I do omit the salt in the recipe.

Now if a recipe calls for unsalted butter, then i use that.
