I think people will use the name if they feel they can pronounce it correctly, so my vote's with Stacey's Cupcake Cafe

i'm going with stacey's. i had no idea how to pronounce the first and it would be hard to look up on the internet if i didn't even know how to spell it. icon_smile.gif

What if you called it "Lolavie Cupcake Cafe", that way you could have a super cute and unique aspect to it, while explaining the type of business all in one shot?

I like:

2. Stacey's Cupcake Cafe

The first one doesn't roll off the tongue very easily.

Hope this helps.

Good luck with your business. icon_smile.gif

Stacey's Cupcake Cafe..

I suffer from long Polish last name syndrome, it has 10 letters in it and get's slammed daily.

Keep it simple.

I like the sound of the first one but agree with "if they can't spell it, how can they find it?" advice.

Is your shop going to be an eat-in shop or a pick-up-and-go place? The word "cafe", to me, means I can go in, sit down, drink a cup of coffee while I eat my cupcake. Is that what you're going to be doing?

Lolavie is a very unique name, but as a business I vote for Stacey's Cupcake Cafe.

Just to add that I DO like names that are foreign and pleasant sounding, but prefer they be relavent to the business.

I have a friend who has "Bello Romance Photography". Bello is Italian for "love". Totally fits in with his concept of being a "romance" photographer.

"Laughing at Life" ..... I can't make the connection to cakes very easily.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with something completely different now, lol. Im so thankful for all of your replies, they really got me thinking. Im only going to be doing cupcakes so the cafe part doesn't really fit and as far as lolavie goes, Indy...my husband had the same reaction! lol He was like "Umm, that doesnt really have anything to do with cakes".

Thats why this board is so great. I love be able to bounce an idea around and get some thoughtful advice. Ive moved to a different name but dont want to post it until I'm sure. Knowing me, Ill probably change my mind again in a couple of weeks icon_rolleyes.gif

Of course, Im really just thinking out loud, more like fantasizing out loud. The chances of me every actually opening a cupcake shop are like less than 1% and even if I did it wouldnt be for a long time.

Thanks guys icon_smile.gif you all are super!
