I am going to try and make a cupcake tower and instead of using 8", 10", and 12" boards I was going to try an 8", 12" and 16". Im worried about it looking a little off and all the towers Ive seen are the standard 8,10,12. Do you think it would be a good idea? Or would it look a little off? Its for a child's birthday I will be making a cake for cutting on the top tier and cupcakes on the other 2 tiers.

It doesn't look weird. I just had mines made with 8" 12" 16" and 20" circle. You can look at this picture by mojaki,

That's where I got my measurements. HTH
