I just got the set of these pans..and I was wondering on any feedback as far as how the cakes actually look once done. I didnt even know they had these until I went to michaels today and so I picked them up.
Thanks so much in advance
bought mine about 2 months ago, but haven't used them yet so unfortunately can't help.
I would also love to hear options of anyone that has used the actual pans though.
I bought these about a month ago, and I tried the smalles pillow. It baked nice, no problem there. The problem was that I had them cooling and went shopping and when I got home my boys had eatin it LOL. So I don't know how it would have looked when I was done. My own fault really, I shouldn't have been experimenting in my home kitchen, nothing is safe on my counters.
I don't have any pictures, but I've used them (just the smaller two sizes) and they work great! In the Wilton yearbook they have a bunch of cakes made with the pans and they recommend covering the two halves separately and THEN combining them, I thought it was much easier to put them together uncovered and then putting fondant over the whole pillow. I don't have any pictures to share though, sorry
I do sort of wish they came in sets of six instead of three, baking each half separately takes awhile
Thank you so much for the feedback, I can't wait to make them. I always wanted to make the pillows, but I was a little scare of carving out one..never really done that..so this is perfect since is already shaped.
Thanks YOU!!!
Hi I made this cake with the smallest pan and I used one mix not 2, it's raised enough to look like a pillow
I try to attach the photo but I can't

They sure know that, but they will probably sell double the way they have it right now.
I used one mix not 2...
Do you mean 2 mixes not 1, because I do not get it. Do you mind explaining it, please. I am planning on buying the pans too and your cake looks so amazing.
I have the pans, too, but haven't used them yet. I searched on CC and here is what came up:

Thanks for the pic and info. I purchased this pan set this past weekend with a 50%off coupon at ACMoore. I only paid $24 and some change. Can't wait to try it.
sorry my english is not really good,
I mean in the instruction said you have to bake 2 cake for each pan then attached them together to look like a pillow but when I bake the 1st one, it raised enough to look like a pillow then I cut it in half and filied it then ganach the whole cake, then covered it with 2 colore fondant.
hope it's help
I have the pans as well and havent used them yet but I plan to in the very near future
Ok now that there is nobody home I whipped up some batter and am doing the smallest pillow of the set......lets see how it comes out?
I am making all 3 tiers for my daughters 1st bday this weekend. So far I have had issues with the biggest pan, it seems a bit shallow compared to the other 2 pans. When I went to wrap it in saran wrap to freeze it started to break. I'm hoping to salvage it because it takes alot of cake batter. The other 2 came out great, I would recommend filling them up a bit more than you would usually fill a cake pan. It does take along time to bake all 6 layers so if that is what you are doing be prepared for that.

Your pillow is amazing as is your brush embroidery
I used the first two pillow pans (also bought two sets for convenience and it's totally worth it) but not the biggest one. I've had them for months but finally got the opportunity to make a pillow cake and it turned out awesome. I'll have to post pics later this week but it was super easy (I tried carving one once and it was not a pretty sight) These are totally worth buying I filled the cake then frosted the top half, fondanted the top half only, then flipped it over and frosted and fondanted the other half just like the tutorial on youtube - really easy
Ok folks, I baked the smallest of the set and is it ever cute. I have just baked them thu, put them in the frig. I will get another set thu, it was a bit of a pain baking with 1 pan. They look like 2 sides of a pillow. If I have time today I'll do a little decorating. I took a pic of it but it won't let me attach, even after arfter I used that photo shrinky thing.
