Increase The Elasticity Of Mmf????
Baking By Michelle104 Updated 1 Aug 2010 , 12:58am by letsgetcaking
I use satin ice most of the time but I need to do a bunch of dummies for an upcoming event. I've made and used MMF in the past but wasn't very impressed with how it works. It just didn't seem very elastic. Is there a different recipe that I can try or something I can add like glycerine or something that will help it to roll out and cover easier? I am just looking for a more economical way to get my dummies done. Sorry so long... TIA!!
Jello!! I found that when I add jello to my fondant it is extremely pliable with no what I like to call strechmarks, those tiny little cracks
heres a link to post we had on it. http://cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-682456.html
Thank you so so much tesso!!! I appreciate your quick response and look forward to trying this! I just read through the whole thread and am making my list right now!
You can also use light corn syrup to increase elasticity and pliability. I love this recipe for MMF! It tastes great, too!

For flavoring, I like to substitute 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond, and 1/2 tsp. of butter flavoring for the vanilla and lemon.
