I made a cake for a woman who found me online. It was for her daughter's sweet 16 and they wanted a luau cake. I followed their specifications except some of the flowers were lighter in color and I used fondant writer which was not as pretty as piping. The cake over all was adorable and I know it tasted great. I used dowels and I explained everything such as the dowels and lollipop sticks that were in the cake for support and decorations. It was for 20-25 people and I charged 50.00. Later that day I emailed her and thanked her for business and to see how everything went and I got returned mail saying they refused or blocked my email! I want to call but I was not sure.....what is everyone's opinion on this?? I know I cant make everyone happy but the cake was good...help...thanks!

I don't think that their blocking the email is necessarily a sign that they didn't like the cake. Its possible that they only receive emails from a certain list of people. If they have a concern, they will let you know.

Some people set up an email "whitelist" so any email from an address not on the list is rejected. It's possible the whitelist isn't configured correctly (outgoing email addresses are usually added to the list) or the customer's ISP may be having some technical problems.

In any case, I wouldn't worry about it, you should by all means call the customer if you want feedback.

Are they using a hotmail address? Hotmail has recently blocked 1000's of IP's, including a boatload from people using godaddy accounts.
