I called logicpic today because I could not reach them on line and the lady informed me that her husband had past I was so sorry I didn't know but she was good about it, can anyone tell me of another supplier?
Thanks
This is going to sound really stupid, but I always see people are talking about them ..what is the purpose of them exactly?
All of the Dollar stores in my area have them. Michaels is too expensive. I use them to make cake circles with instead of cardboard.
Logicpic had the best bases. They didn't use regular foamcore you'd find in craft stores. Their foamboard was specially treated with a polystyrene coating (like a hard plastic) which made them grease resistant, washable and very sturdy. I only used them as a base for my heavier cakes. They came in every size and shape imaginable. I am on a quest to find someone who makes them. When I do, I'll post.
check out foamboardsource.com, they are more expensive, but seem to be of the same quality as logicpic
I get mine at Walmart. A little over $2.00 for a 20 x 30 size. I don't know what they cost if you buy in bulk (I don't do that many cakes, so I just buy one as needed).
They are in the office supplies dept usually.
And CakeIMake - I use them as my cake board. I take a foam core board, cut it in half, glue the halves together and then cover with a plastic table cloth (they come in a ton of different colors). They are very sturdy and inexpensive so they can just be tossed after the cake is eaten.
