I made about a dozen gumpaste Anemone flowers for the first time (for a wedding cake this weekend) I am quite pleased with the way they turned out. I will probably place them where they would sit against/on the layer below. But in the event I need to actually adhere one strictly to the side of the cake is it best to use a skewer to hold in place until the RI dries? There are not any wires in the flowers as the instructions that I had to make them did not include them.
Any feedback as to how to adhere larger sugar flowers to the sides of a fondant/buttercream cake would be appreciated!!
