I bought some egg whites to use on recipes that call for just the whites so I don't waste the yolks. I'm very new to cake making and I can't find out how much of the carton egg whites equal how many. Does that make sense? If I needed 8 egg whites, how much would I measure out of the carton?

TIA!
Suzanne

One cup of liquid egg whites equals 8 egg whites according to "ask.com".

I used to buy the cartons. They have the "instructions" on the carton of how much egg whites = an egg. It's on there somewhere.

The average large egg = 1/4 cup, so an egg white would equal about 1/8 of a cup, or as Mamawrobin said, one cup = 8 whites.
