I'm doing a 10 inch round cake with an ems logo on it. Here is the link: http://thelunatick.com/store/images/prod_ParamedCityofNY.jpg. i'm looking for ideas of how to make this cake not so boring cuz i think it needs more than this logo on a white round cake with happy birthday on it.
any ideas?

Does the cake have to be round? You could do an ambulance, or with a simple rectangular cake you could make it look like a stretcher. Or just carve the shield shape of the badge?

If it has to be round...Add "bandages" around the edges?

I made a Paramedic shirt cake (sheet cake) for my son's birthday. Made the patch out of fondant. It looked like a folded uniform shirt. Over the right pocket instead of his name I put Happy Birthday. He carried it to Paramedic class and it was a hit.

I have an idea but I dont know if you would like to go this far with the cake but here it is anyway...when I was in high school (dont ask how long ago icon_lol.gif ) I made a cake to look like a human heart(for my anatomy class) and I put tubes through it and a little hand pump with red jelly and when I squeezed the pump red jelly pumped out of one of the arteries of the heart...yeah it didnt make people want to eat it after that but hey its just an idea icon_biggrin.gif
