I just made my second batch of gum paste. I'm not positive, but I think it's more dry than the first batch I made. I have it wrapped up and in the fridge now fro 24 hrs. When I go to use it, if it is too dry, how should I soften it up? Crisco kneaded in? Drop of water? I don't want my flowers being brittle and crumbling....

You need to bring it back to room temperature first before it's ready to use. Do that and see if it's more pliable. If not, you can always work in a bit of crisco.
