I recently saw the movie Wedding Crashers and in one scene (the engagement party) the caterers seemed to be assembling a stack of Bundt cakes. It looked like they scooped a filling in the hole of the bottom cake and put a smaller cake on top of it. The finished product looked like it had something strung around it kind of like a croquembouche. The scene went by so fast I didn't catch any more detail.

I've got the 6 cup Bundt and the Bundtlette so to make a stack of Bundt cakes I'd need either the largest or the smallest- the 12 cup or the Bundt brownie. If the the stack is not sturdy on its own, I'm thinking dowels and cake boards could be used or maybe something like the Wilton tall tier cake stand.

Have any of you seen or made something like this? What was it like? If not, do y'all have any ideas how best to make it?
