I have been attending my local farmers market and feel pretty confident on the price of my regular cupcakes. However, I offer mini's as samples. I have not sold them and was unsure of what to charge. I have a request for this weekend for 100 mini's for a graduation party. Any suggestions? She is wanting red velvet, chocolate with peanut butter and my strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream. All three recipes which are a little more involved than others. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

How much do you charge for your regular cupcakes?

I just thought that might help us price your cupcakes. For instance, if you're selling your regular cupcakes for $1.50, it doesn't make much sense to charge $1.25 for a mini.

We do them for $9 per dozen (75 cents each), with a two dozen minimum per flavor ordered. These come iced only with a dollop of icing and a sprinkle/sugar/glitter if wanted.

I think that sounds perfect! What do you charge for your regular cupcakes? (If I may ask). icon_smile.gif

We do standard sized cupcakes for $2 each, iced, and with a sprinkle or glitter, etc.
They are $2.50 each if something is piped on top of the icing, like a smiley, or rosebud, or monogram, etc. Or if they have a little flat, shaped fondant cut-out piece.
Anything covered in fondant shoots up to around $3.50 or more.

I sell regular bc iced standard cupcakes for $1.00 each (bakeries in my area charge $.65 each)

I sell the minis at $5.00/doz. which comes out to $.40/each (they cost me $.10/each to make ice and box)

Wow! I have never priced mini's out before. That's awesome that they only cost you .10 each to make!

Apparently, I need to look into making more of those! icon_wink.gif What kind of box do you use to package them!
