How do you make your fondant decorations? Do you trace them from a pattern, use a projector. It takes me hours to make them, just wanted so new ideas. Thanks

If I don't have a cutter and for alot of the things I've made I don't. I use a pattern (usually one that I've made) and I use an exacto knife to cut out the image. It's time consuming but it works. I've also used a homeade shadow box projector using a lamp and a box.

Sometimes you can use household objects...for my makeup cake, I didn't have circle cutters, so for the large circles I used a plastic cap thing that you snap onto the top of a can of soda...and for the smaller circles, I used the open end of a very large piping tip.

Thank's for the responses. I ordered a cricut cake hoping that would help. I'm all thumbs with fondant. And they never come out as clean. Thanks
