Last year, my cousin got married. I was surprised not to see a cake! Instead, they had this huge arrangement of yogurt and fruit and toppings, etc... It doesn't sound that elegant in words, but it really was. Chocolate covered strawberries and such... I thought it was definately different, but they weren't big fans of cake so it worked!! Everyone seemed to enjoy it!

Is it the traditional white wedding cake that she doesn't like or cake itself? You could do a tower of cake balls or white chocolate covered strawberries.

I she just doesn't like white cake, maybe a champagne cake or different tiers with different layers or maybe a cupcake tower?

Sounds like an issue!

Does she like cheese cake? Or maybe if the entire thing about cake turns her off...what about a big chocolate fondue or something with fruit. What about truffles or petite fours or chocolate covered strawberries? I have also gone to a wedding with a sundae bar, but they had cake also.

Merissa,

That's a great idea! I have a chocolate fountain and entertain a lot. They always come in the door looking for my fountain. There is always a crowd around it! I serve strawberries, bananas, pretzels, grapes and peanut butter ritz bits (those go fast!), teddy grahams, etc. That woud be a great option especially if there is going to be cake at each table. Let us know what you decided on!

Have you seen the Honeynut Cheerios commercial? If not, it is a wedding and it looks like the cake is made of cheerios and the guests at the party are dipping clumps of honeynut cheerios in glasses of milk. I think its champagne glasses at that. Then the bride throws a box of cheerios instead of flowers. Anyway...Just kidding, I just saw the commercial(sp?) is why I even typed this. icon_rolleyes.gif I found it funny. The other thing that is funny, IS WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD NOT LIKE WEDDING CAKE?

What about a "dummy" cake with the chocolate fountain and all the stuff to dip with around it??
Just a suggestion.
