I have an order for my FIRST PAID cake and I'm sooo nervous! It will be for about 10 people. It is for her husband's 40th birthday and his interests are photography and scuba diving. She wants a square cake, she said chocolate chiffon cake (is there a difference between that and regular chocolate? She had watched Cake Boss and he mentioned chiffon so that's where she got it from). She also said she wanted blackberry filling!? I told her I'm not sure about that flavor. I'm thinking an 8" square. Now...any ballpark ideas on what to charge? I know it will depend on how much design goes into it but I think it will be relatively simple. Any and all suggestions, ideas are greatly appreciated.
TIA

as for the blackberry filling, maybe a preserve? Not to sound repetitive, but try the recipe forum...lol.
I've been making cakes for friends and family for free and the first time I did it for a "friend of a friend"(whom I'd never met), I was so nervous. But once i checked out the gallery/forums, I was able to stop freaking out and got some great ideas. Good luck and be sure to post a picture of the final product icon_smile.gif
