You can try to get to the shut down pages by using the way back archive.

Right click on the link on page one of this message. Select Properties. The web page address will appear. Highlight it and copy it (Control C). Then go to www.archive.org (w w w. a r c h i v e . o r g - take out spaces in case other address gets blocked) and paste in address (Control V) in search window. You will get another page that will show up with dates. You will have to go to each page to see what is listed.

When I did a search for a baby tutorial using the way back archive, I got this page:

http://web.archive.org/web/20080121011118/http://tutorials.theclaystore.com/animals-and-figurines/a-small-baby-figure-in-polymer-clay/

I suggest that you copy and paste the entire page into a word document and save it if it is something you use a lot. I do this quite often just for this very reason.

No problem everyone!

Naunie2, gumpaste dries faster and holds its shape better. Fondant stays soft for a while and isn't the best medium to make figures since it doesn't hold it's shape very well. However, you can add CMC or tylose to fondant to make it gumpaste-like.

Can anyone log onto The Clay Store? When I go to the website, says the store closed the end of May and gives me an error message to go into any tabs: products/tutorials/books, etc.

Unfortunately, the clay website has shut down. The other tutorials are still available though. I'll keep adding more tutorials when I find new ones.

As for the recipe, I prefer Nic Lodge and Fran's paste:
