I am doing a cake of an upright tire...i want it be as stable as possible

I was thinking carving a layered cake in the shape ofthe tire (cake layers are horizontal) might be more stable than standing a thick fondant covered round on it's side...( cake layers would ve vertical) it sounds a lot easier but is it a disaster waiting to happen??

What do u think and how would ibest support this cake??

That sounds like a difficult job. The BEST thing you could do is use styrofoam for the bottom half of the tire & stack layered cake for the top half of the tire. Does that make sense? If you try to make the whole thing out of cake you're going to have a very hard time supporting it. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. I'm sure there is a better way to explain this!
