Hi,
I wanted to make a giant cupcake as I saw in Andrea's sweetcakes pictures and also in chomocakes, both at flickr. I searched alot and couldnt find any clue except the following attached.
the links to the examples i talked about are

Had I been in toronto, i would have taken Anrea's classes and i do plan to take them when i visit canada sometime this year. If andrea is on CC and reading this, please can you help a bit?

No wilton pans available here.

Regards,
Nadia

hi;

im neither of the people you mentioned but i made a giant cupcake not long ago to sit on top of a tt cake. ( see my pics if youd like =))

they are not too difficult to do, i dont use a wilton pan either. i just used a round pan cut two circles out of it and stacked them on top of each other. i made the top circle a little bigger so that i got the sort of sloped edge you see in a normal cupcake. altho i see in the pic that its edges arnt sloped? well i gues you can alter to suit your needs. =)

then for the top swirly bit, i just kinda winged it there..=/ i stacked a few peices of leftover cake nto a kinda cone on top, then i just used a fat star tip to pipe round to make it look liek the stereotypical cupcake.

sorry if thats not very clear! feel free to quiz me on whatever you dont understand! they are not too difficult to make in all honesty!
