I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me the instructions to make the beer cake with the pouring beer can, or tell me where I could find these instructions. Thanks in advance.

I'm going to be making a cake like the one you are talking about in a couple weeks. I saw a pic of it it the gallery under alcohol or beer. I believe she put a wooden rod thorough the cake. The rod extends past the cake a few inches and the can just hooks on the top

The one that I made I used 3 - 4" cakes. Covered in BC and then wrapped fondant around it. Place long dowel down middle and covered it in the same fondant that I wrapped around the cake for the mug. My husband sacrificed himself and drank a beer for me. I washed the cake and used hot glue to stick it to the dowel (the dowel went into the opening). I used a modeling tool the make lines in the fondant on the dowel to make it look like a pouring beer. Used buttercream on the top to look like foam. I made the handle a week in advance with toothpicks in the ends. hope this helps

I was sure I saved it in my favs but it isn't there! From what I remember the photo last posted on that (really fun looking cake, btw) said she used cooked sugar straw and it looked like an actual beer can (which would be very easy to do since the empty can wouldn't need much support. I imagine you could get a similar result with a dowel covered with mmf or gumpaste?
