Just had a 12" layer break into a million pieces and I need to remake it, but I only have one mix. Will adding a box of pudding stretch the mix? I need 7 cups and the mix made about 5 c. Otherwise, could you mix red velvet or German Chocolate with Devil's food???

Thanks for any help. I am desperate! icon_cry.gif

1 cake mix
2/3 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
1 1/3 c water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream

This is what I use for chocolate. It's delicious.

This is the recipe that I use for chocolate cakes. This is in addition to the regular ingredients with the box mix.

1 cup AP flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup of oil
2/3 cups of water
1/4 cup cocoa powder

I have used this numerous times for yellow cake mix (without the cocoa) and I received rave reviews. HTH.
