Hi Freddie!
I am not sure if the following link will work. But I just did a google search for "tiger cakes" using the Image view not the list view.

Maybe it will work.

Also, there is a website called "The Cake Store" which has a ton of cute cakes. Here is a link to a tiger cake on that site:

I think that one is really cute and would be perfect for a 14 year old girl!!

Hope this helps a little!

Ok, I guess my post was unhelpful, LOL.
I noticed on one of your replies to Danni the snake pic came from the same website (The Cake Store), so you probably already saw the tiger on that site.
Oh well, Ha ha ha ha....... I wish I could tell you somewhere else to look, but I am looking for a tiger cake too and this is all I have come across.

Sorry Freddie!!!

Thanks Leslie,
That tigercub is exactly what I was looking for ! Any ideas on how they brought the nose out that way ? Also do you think it was colored with Wilton Color Mist ? I have never used this and wondered if it leaves everyone with colored mouths after eating the cake ?

Thanks

I wonder....could you use a cupcake for the nose and secure it to the rest of the cake with skewers? Just a guess because the cc doesn't have much weight to it. icon_smile.gif

RaeMarie,
What a lovely name!!! icon_smile.gif

I honestly have no idea how they did the nose. Maybe someone else here on CC could offer a suggestion. I may be mistaken, but to me, it looks like the cake is covered in fondant and then painted. It may very well be the spray, but the stripes are painted, so I wonder if she painted the whole thing? I am not sure what the spray on color does to your teeth, but most normal icing colors do that too. I would imagine that the spray on color is less concentrated and since it is covering white icing and not totally a colored icing, that it wouldn't stain your teeth that badly. icon_biggrin.gif

If I think of a way to do the nose, I will definitely post to you!!!!

Good luck with this!! I bet you will do great!

RaeMarie,
I found a pan that you could possibly use for this tiger...
It is the lamb pan and I found one that looks almost like the tiger cub. It is on Earlene Moore's website, I will post the picture (if it isn't too big). I think with just a little work, it could be done! icon_wink.gif

search under pans and cast aluminum.

Leslie,
Thanks for the tip on the lamb pan, I even have access to one. Did you see a tigercub done with this pan or another cat ? I looked at Earlines cakes for one but I am either on the wrong site or misunderstood. Could you give me the name of the site if you did see one. Thanks!

Just finished a tiered fairy princess cake last night and have to start planning for the next two cakes; a wolf cake for this weekend...HELP... and the tiger in two weeks.

Thanks everyone for any ideas or tips, every suggestion or tips adds to my confidence in doing this.

Hi RaeMarie!
I am sorry I was confusing. lol I saw the lamb pan on Earlene's site and thought it might be possible to make the tiger cub out of it. It might take a little creativity, but it might solve the "nose" dilemma. icon_wink.gif I looked at the tiger cub cake AND at this pan and it looks like the shapes are pretty similar. If I were going to attempt making that tiger cub that we found, I would try making it with this pan, cause I am sure I wouldn't be able to "attach" the nose. I may have misunderstood you too, lol, did you find this pan? I have a hard time finding things on her site sometimes cause she has SO MUCH stuff! LOL But, If you search under pans and then under cast iron ones, I think you might find this pan. But, if you already have access to this pan, then you don't need to order one. I apologize, but i have not been able to find any instructions to use. I guess you might just want to practice doing it before the "real thing". icon_smile.gif
I tend to be confusing sometimes, probably cause it is so late when I post. ha ha I hope I was a little easier to understand this time. icon_wink.gif I know you will do a great job!!! thumbs_up.gif

Hope this helps a little! icon_smile.gif

Well the Tiger Cubs Cake is finished and I am fairly pleased with the results. I took both missmersh and dodibug's suggestions to heart and with them and my own ideas the cake finally came to be. Used spray on color for the first time and was O.K. with the results. Did the stripes and all dark trim with Milk Chocolate. Prefer Chocolate over Black Icing for taste. Added butterflies made of rolled out Sugar Jelly Candies. Just uploaded picture to site.

Missmersh and Dodibug... THANKYOU, THANKYOU !!!
