use a rectuangular pan, cover the top and only one side of the "book" in fondant.. (or your choice of b/c.. but fondant looks best!) indent a line going down the side of the book on the top. put a thin line of fondant along the bopttom edges of the cake, and line "pages" into the sides not covered with fondant.

sorry, im not great at explaining things..=?

they are really quite easy to make tho!! if i can do them anyone can! it was my foirst try using fondant and i think it turned out ohk? good luck!

you can also use rice paper for the pages and write on it w/ edible food marker.

I did a bible using just BC, b/c the customer didn't like fondant, and ppl at the party thought it was real- here's the link to it:

I used choc, icing with some black food coloring to make it really dark. I mixed the icing real thick, to get the old/cracking look of the leather for the cover. It wasn't hard at all, and I'll be glad to answer any other questions that you have, if you want to message me.

How big does it need to be?

Wilton makes an open book cake pan, which you could put on top of a sheet cake for more servings. You could then use edible paper for a full page, or simply write their favorite verse.[/img]
