I was thinking that we could start a thread about local cake clubs. I have always wanted to be a part of one - but it seems really hard to locate them (even with the good old internet).

So if you know of a cake club anywhere - put it down here. If it does well, who knows, maybe we could make a list and have it converted into a sticky!

Hi,
I know there is a link here that lists lots of cake clubs all over the US but it's not working at the moment.

So I'll add the two clubs in Arizona:

Mesa, AZ- Confection Connection Cake Club
http://www.freewebs.com/confectionconnection/

Glendale, AZ- Westside Cake Club
http://www.freewebs.com/westsidecakeclub/

Ok - I have created an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of the clubs as they come in.

One that I know of is the Queen City Cake Club. www.queencitycakeclub.com
It's in Cincinnati, OH.

Thanks everyone!

Well - maybe we should all just create a cake club group thru meetup. And then hopefully people will come to our cake clubs.

That would be a great idea!

There is one here in Vegas: Sweet SinSations Cake Club

It would be really neat if all cake clubs had a gathering.

I noticed that several people looking for cake clubs in their area DONT list the city they live in.Maybe with that info other members that see your posts may contact you if they live in the same area and you could chit-chat about local news. Just a thought.

Trying to get a cake club started in the Texas Hillcountry - Canyon Lake/New Braunfels/San Marcos areas for quite sometime.
Anyone wanting to join the Canyon Lake Cakers PM me on here! Have 2 venues available for free!

Oh and went to meetup.com, none in our area, so I tried to put in a listing but they don't have a free option, and I am not going to shell out my own money until I actually have at least 4 other members and we can all contribute to the cost of the listing.

Hi Fullmoon, yea seems that all the berry fields made it thru with little or no damage. Wish I could same the same for a LOT of homeowners who lost their wells and a lot of roads closed due to sink holes from all the water pumped on berry fields. Are you entering a display at the Central Florida Fair in Orlando ?

Boy DerrellC, I sure didn't hear about the sink holes on the news! Hope you did okay. I will not be at the Central Florida Fair. I am still way too much of a beginner. I have 3 kids - 2 still not in school. I don't know how others do it. By 9pm I'm falling asleep. I will be looking into one of the cake clubs. I often put baking/decorating off as it is not a business for me. I feel guilty if I'm not getting the other things I should be doing done!!(And maybe I need to stop lurking on CC so much!) If I need to bring a cake to the club then I will have an 'excuse' to put off the other things! If you are entering a display good luck and I'd love to hear about it!
