I'm having a tasting party at the end of the month for about 10 to 15 people. I'm trying out new recipes and are looking for some input as well as possible new clients. I have printed the surveys (short 3/4 ?'s), I know which recipes I'm making. My questions are should I offer some sort of appetziers (it is a 2 hour tasting) if so what and I want to offer a thank you gift for their time, not sure what it should be. I was thinking on the thank you gift something valetine themed since it is only a couple weeks away. Any help would be great, Thanks.

I would not offer other foods with the tasting as it could fill your guests up too much, and also distract them from what they are doing there. I would just offer tea / coffe, water or soft drinks to go with the cakes. You could always do individually wrapped Valentine cookies as a party favor, maybe set them up in a flower pot arrangement for each person to take one on their way out. Good way of showcasing other things that you are able to do.

I agree, I wouldn't give out any other foods...just the cake.

The cookies are a good idea too! For another option...what about homemade chocolates/truffles in a little wrapped box for them to take home? (if you do that also)

Good luck! icon_wink.gif

All good ideas and I agree with previous posters. You might also consider a door prize. Something special that you made...chocolates, a cookie bouquet, etc. It's another way to show off your handiwork.

Love the door prize idea!

I would serve Perrier or other fancy bottled water and gourmet coffee! Keep the options simpe but classy.

And with their parting gift- a special coupon or "upgrade" with their next order.
