I went to the Bakers Expo in New Jersey last weekend and it was great! They had a 45 minute presentation on the Cricut Cake. I already own the Cricut Expressions but i will be getting the Cake version soon. It's such a great machine!

DRAMA! I left a mommy board because I got sick of reading the drama. I purposely avoid threads when they are full of drama. I can't even read the dang cricut thread without running into drama.

It's unfortunate it comes to this when you try to help others. You can be assured I wont offer help in the future.

You didn't exactly "find" it, I provided the information to you on another thread. Just thought I'd throw that out there since we're being "nit picky" icon_smile.gif

For your apology see my post on page 5 hope its enough icon_smile.gif

I wasn't meaning to cause drama for anyone....if you read the post she wrote concerning me... I was accused of being nit picky and not giving credit to tiggy2 after I had already thanked her once..I wanted to thank her as big as I could so everyone would know it was SHE who had given the information I posted...I didn't write one rude thing about her..she accused me of taking her credit and called me nit picky..So after my first thank you wasn't enough I only wanted her to feel appreciated and allcc to know that it was me who made the mistake...I don't have drama with anyone and I dont chastise anyone who doesn't credit me !! Sorry ladies if I offended anyone by my praise and recognition..I love cake central and I thought it was a open sharing place where we could share what we have learned with out being chastised...Have a great day everyone..look at my posts I am not rude or accusatory to anyone I was just setting somthing I was accused of right >>Thanks everyone for all our sharing =o)

I think it comes in May I already pre- ordered mine on cut n crop where tiggy2 suggested...May was the last I heard..although I am hoping it comes sooner I cant wait to get mine!!! Did anyone see the ultimate cake off where they tended to not appreciate the 2 southern ladies using the machine because it wasn't hand done?
They don't mind for the contestants using fondant sheeters or electric mixers...this is just cake decorating evolving in a awsome new and time saving way in my opinion.
But if I do get mine earlier I will post it on here=o)

Cricut cake at Michaels......
I was at Michaels 3 days ago and I spoke to the mgr re: cricut cartridges..She told me they will be selling the cricut cake as well and then I thought I should have waited and used my 40 or 50% off coupon and got the cricut cake there for a hundred dollars less than I payed...Just putting that out there I dont know if anyone posted that idea before me ?? But just thought I would throw that out there because now I wish I would have waited...Happy Caking everyone icon_cool.gif

That's what I was thinking. You can't even use the coupons for the accessories, either, right?

No, they can't be used on any cricut product. It states right on the coupon what the exceptions are.

I am planning on ordering it next week. I was hoping that someone had already received it. Sometimes when I pre-order I get the items before their scheduled ship date. What I love about the Cricut Cake is that you can upload your own designs and print them. Can't wait! icon_biggrin.gif

FYI: If you happen to find a Cricut Expressions for a good price, it'll do everything the Cake does, with just a few less bells and whistles. I've used my Expressions as long as I've done it and LOVE it. I just don't see the need for me, someone who already has one machine, to buy another.

This is not something unique to the cake. This can be done with any of the Cricuts using Make the Cut or Sure Cuts A Lot programs.

Someone told me they had the personal at Joanns a couple weeks ago for $89.00...I wanted to buy one of the regular cricuts but I read a thread on being careful with the blades and making sure your medium...fondant ,,gumpaste ...modeling chocolate isn't to thick and it had to be rolled evenly...so that scared me off and when we got our income taxes back my husband said just order the cricut cake..

I am a little scared to venture out to far on my own I haven't been doing cakes that long...My daughter and I started cake decorating because we needed something positive to do as her husband passed away in a car wreck and she has a baby and we just couldn't leave the house...so I can actually say making cakes is helping us in this grief journey and has been very therapeutic !!!

And all the great tips and help on cc are amazing...When I am having a rough day I get on cc and It makes me smile...You all make me smile thumbs_up.gif Thank you And I cannot wait to get my cricut cake...Fun,Fun,Fun thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Darn we can't use it on the cartridges either...I don't have a coupon at the moment I usually just print one out as needed!

How about hobby Lobby or Joanns can you use their coupons for cricut products??? icon_smile.gif

Crick...I am sorry to hear of your family's loss. I suggest, whether you get the Cake or Expressions, order Linda McClure's DVD...it will help SO MUCH with using the Cricut to cut gumpaste. Truly.
Good luck as you help your daughter in this difficult time.

The two sweet southern sisters were trained by linda icon_smile.gif linda is also offering a class, email her for more info. i am taking the one in may.
as far as cartridges go, a lot of people use sure cuts a lot or makes the cut instead of/in addition to PC cartridges. i use MTC and the cartridges i already have together.
good luck!
