I want to try this recipe, but I want to use box mix (DH brand). What's the best flavor to buy. Also, it asks for champagne, what's the best brand to buy. I don't want to spend alot of time looking for it, will it be available at Sam's? What else can I add, to make it taste better? More champagne, flavoring etc... your help is greatly appreciated.

I use a Pillsbury white mix, and replace most of the water in the recipe with pink champagne. I just use Andre Pink Champagne; it should cost less than $5 for a bottle.

Just use egg whites, as it calls for, not the full egg, as if you were making white cake.
I can't remember exactly how much water it calls for, but if it says 1 cup water, then use 3/4 cup pink champagne, and 1/4 cup water.
If it says 1 1/4 cups water, then use 1 cup pink champagne, and 1/4 cup water.
HTH!!
