So, what caking supplies or goodies did y'all get for Christmas? There are TONS of things I still need/want. What was tops on y'alls lists?
My DH gave me a gift card to our local craft store. Was thinking about getting a Cricut with it.
So lucky!! I feel your excitement because my husband got me an AGBAY!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!! I'm going to have to bake SOON!

Just want to let you guys know how sweet your husbands are...
My hubby got me some t-shirts with my logo on them to wear while I'm at the shop. That was really cool. He also got me a small camera that I can carry and take pictures of my cake instead of trying to remember to lug my huge camera down to the shop.
My father-in-law had my name name for Christmas, and I got the Wilton deluxe tip set! Yay!!!! (I'm new at all of this.) And "Santa" got me an Artisan KitchenAid mixer. =) My classic has been biting the dust. Sweet Christmas! =)
I got 4 Magic line square pans too! I am so excited! I also got the Cake Bible, a clay extruder gun and LOTS of different flower cutters. I also got the Sharon Zambito buttercream and fondant DVDs! Cant wait to watch them!! Just have to wait for family to leave to be able to... maybe I will just watch them on the laptop in my room.. lol

BecuzImAGurl, my heart goes out to you. I'm sorry you're not having a nice Christmas. You still have your friends here on CC to support you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy Birthday BecuzImAGurl! Tons of Hugs to you!
Congrats to all of you with your wonderful gifts!!!
My husband got me a Cricut, gift certificates to Michaels and AC Moore and tickets to the NYC Cake Convention this weekend. WHO NEEDS JEWELRY when you can get all this great cake stuff!!!
Hubby got me the scraper blade for my KA plus Diamond Earrings, guess which one I'll use the most......
BecuzImaGurl, hugs to you and Happy Birthday, now go read the thread on here "Giggle for the day" It's too funny, you'll laugh your ass off.
My husband bought me a $700 camera to take pictures of my cakes! I had been borrowing one from a friend for the past year to take pictures of my creations, and half of the time I didn't even bother. Now I never have to miss taking another picture again .
We had a tight budget this year, but I did get an Ateco turntable that I've been hoping for, a huge set of circle cutters, and a couple more cake/cupcake books for my "small" library of cookbooks. (My sister also got me a book on starting a cake business; she said it was meant as a hint. If only I was brave enough and could afford to...) Merry Christmas to you all!!!
Well, I'm married to a great guy - a wonderful husband and father, but he just doesn't understand how it is done!! We bought a new TV for our bedroom, and said that that was going to be our "only" Christmas gift to each other. He actually took that seriously and did not get me anything else. Grrrrrrr!!!
I still love him anyway. Sigh.....
I didn't get a thing having to do with cakes...but I didn't ask for anything either!
I did get a purple IPOD...and love it! I'm attending school full time to get my accounting degree and my old IPOD died a slow death last semester. I can't listen to it when I study business, history, etc. but have to have music on when I'm doing my algebra and accounting stuff!!!
He also got me lots of other things like slippers, polar fleece top, candles, Sarris candy (the best chocolate in the world....made here close to Pittsburgh, in Canonsburg, PA., and some other things......
I got an airbrush gun, "the golden book of baking", and an iPhone!! To those who got an airbrush gun...which one did you guys get??
I got a cricut husband didn't know what one to buy so he bought the big one and the little one guess what one is going back.
Happy birthday BecuzImAGurl. Can't wait to see you own birthday cake. I am a newbie like you but cannot make cake anywhere close like yours. You certainly have a gift. I cannot believe you made the ladybug and the pagoda cake with a 6 month old at home. I hope you have a happy new year. Say hi to Eva.
we were short on funds this year so we just bought a lot for the kids but when taxes come back then we will do our christmas shopping for each other. I will be purchasing an airbrush and a pasta maker (for fondant). My MIL bought me a 100 piece cookie cutter set and cake decorating classes from Joann's. I can't wait to start learning.
I got AirMist colors for my airbrush- I've had it a couple of months and never ordered the colors. Used it tonight on a project for this weekend. DD gave me a Lindy Smith cake book.

OMG the cake convention sounds like fun. I am trying to convince my husband to get me another christmas present. Maybe I can write it off as a business expence if he says no.
Not a cake gift:
I really needed a new phone so I got an amazing new touch screen phone and I am loving it.
A great cake gift:
I got a book that I was really interested in. Baking at Home with The Culinary Institute of America.
It has so much information. Not only tons of recipes but how things work and why ingredients work a certain way and what the reaction an ingredient will have in the recipe. It also has tons of little notes on most recipes, short cuts, variations and such. 10 chapters and I am only on chapter 3. Love it!!!!!
Icubed82 you are so right who needs jewelry, I don't even wear it so I don't need them
My soon to be son in law made me an awesome warming booth for sugar pulling. I had shown him the plans for one and he made it for me. I was so surprised.
