...set of square Magic Line pans!!!! It's a 10 piece set, from 4 1/2 inches all the way up to 18 in! I don't even know if the 18 will fit in my oven yet LOL!!! I'm so excited, I can't wait to bake something haha...I see lots of square cakes in my future!

So, what caking supplies or goodies did y'all get for Christmas? There are TONS of things I still need/want. What was tops on y'alls lists?

My hubby got me some t-shirts with my logo on them to wear while I'm at the shop. That was really cool. He also got me a small camera that I can carry and take pictures of my cake instead of trying to remember to lug my huge camera down to the shop.

My husband bought me a $700 camera to take pictures of my cakes! I had been borrowing one from a friend for the past year to take pictures of my creations, and half of the time I didn't even bother. Now I never have to miss taking another picture again icon_biggrin.gif.

We had a tight budget this year, but I did get an Ateco turntable that I've been hoping for, a huge set of circle cutters, and a couple more cake/cupcake books for my "small" library of cookbooks. (My sister also got me a book on starting a cake business; she said it was meant as a hint. If only I was brave enough and could afford to...) Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Well, I'm married to a great guy - a wonderful husband and father, but he just doesn't understand how it is done!! We bought a new TV for our bedroom, and said that that was going to be our "only" Christmas gift to each other. He actually took that seriously and did not get me anything else. Grrrrrrr!!!
I still love him anyway. Sigh.....

I didn't get a thing having to do with cakes...but I didn't ask for anything either!

I did get a purple IPOD...and love it! I'm attending school full time to get my accounting degree and my old IPOD died a slow death last semester. I can't listen to it when I study business, history, etc. but have to have music on when I'm doing my algebra and accounting stuff!!!

He also got me lots of other things like slippers, polar fleece top, candles, Sarris candy (the best chocolate in the world....made here close to Pittsburgh, in Canonsburg, PA., and some other things......

Happy birthday BecuzImAGurl. Can't wait to see you own birthday cake. I am a newbie like you but cannot make cake anywhere close like yours. You certainly have a gift. I cannot believe you made the ladybug and the pagoda cake with a 6 month old at home. I hope you have a happy new year. Say hi to Eva.

we were short on funds this year so we just bought a lot for the kids but when taxes come back then we will do our christmas shopping for each other. I will be purchasing an airbrush and a pasta maker (for fondant). My MIL bought me a 100 piece cookie cutter set and cake decorating classes from Joann's. I can't wait to start learning.

OMG the cake convention sounds like fun. I am trying to convince my husband to get me another christmas present. icon_biggrin.gif Maybe I can write it off as a business expence if he says noicon_smile.gif.

Not a cake gift:
I really needed a new phone so I got an amazing new touch screen phone and I am loving it.

A great cake gift:
I got a book that I was really interested in. Baking at Home with The Culinary Institute of America.
It has so much information. Not only tons of recipes but how things work and why ingredients work a certain way and what the reaction an ingredient will have in the recipe. It also has tons of little notes on most recipes, short cuts, variations and such. 10 chapters and I am only on chapter 3. Love it!!!!!
